Sylvia Dobler

Sylvia de Von (Schuldheisz) Dobler, 79 of Henderson, NV formerly of Ellendale, ND died July 18, 2018 at Prestige Assisted Living at Mira Loma in Henderson. Sylvia was born April 5, 1939 in Fredonia, ND to Roy George and Esther (Dockter) Schuldheisz. She graduated from Ellendale High School in 1956 and was the first Ellendale High School Homecoming Queen. Sylvia was blessed with three children: Steve, Brad and Kari. She worked for the Dickey County Leader in Ellendale for many years as their Sales Representative. She also worked part-time for the Ellendale Cenex C-Store. Sylvia had a deep love for all animals especially her horses and cats. She also enjoyed listening to Elvis, watching Greys Anatomy and taking photographs. Cheering on the Vikings and Las Vegas Golden Knights brought her much joy. Sylvia lived in Ellendale until 2016 when she moved to Henderson, NV to be closer to her family. Sylvia is survived by her two children: Brad Dobler of Burdett, KS, Kari Hannum of Henderson, NV; two grandchildren: Michael Wolfgang and Grace Genevieve; two brothers: Roy “Buddy” Schuldheisz Jr, and John Shuldheisz both of Monango, ND; one sister: Priscilla Benfit of Billings, MT. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Steven, grandson Patrick Steven and sister Deborah. The funeral will be 2pm July 28 at Zion Lutheran Church, Ellendale with Pastor Paul Preus officiating. Visitation is 2-7pm Friday with a prayer service at 5pm all at Hoven Funeral Chapel, Ellendale. Visitation continues 1 hour prior to services at the church. Burial is at Ellendale City Cemetery. Arrangements by Hoven Funeral Chapel.
