Jerome Fredrick

Jerome John Fredrick, 63 of Huson, MT passed away peacefully on October 8, 2022 at his home in Huson, MT. Jerome was born on September 28, 1959 to Nettie (Rost) and Edwin Fredrick in Ellendale, ND. He attended school in Ellendale and graduated in 1978. After graduation, Jerome worked for a year for his dad at Ed’s Standard Service in Ellendale and then went on to North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND to obtain a welding technology degree. He worked in the oil fields in western North Dakota and eastern Montana for several years and then went to work as a general superintendent for Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. in Minnesota. Wherever there was a railroad track, Jerome worked. He had the privilege of going to Australia, Singapore, Mexico, Canada and almost all of the fifty states. He loved being a mentor to his employees and his greatest joy was seeing them succeed. After being on the road for many years, Jerome retired to the beautiful Nine Mile Valley in Huson, MT. Jerome loved the outdoors whether hunting or fishing, camping or going for drives in the woods or just sitting around a campfire. Countless memories were made during these times. He passed his love of the outdoors to many. Jerome will be remembered for his ability to empower people, his ability to forgive and give anyone a second chance. He was a great listener and always enjoyed giving advice. Jerome was preceded in death by his parents and a son Derek Anderson. Jerome is survived by his two daughters, Holly Anderson and Christina Fredrick; two brothers and their wives, Arlyn and Karen, and Ned and Kay; three nephews and their wives and one niece, Colin and Tara, Isaac and Mara, Lucas and Kirsten; two great-nieces and one great-nephew, Hadley, Charlotte and Soren. Jerome also leaves behind many close neighbors and friends and pets - Winston, Gator, Teeva and Garbonzo who brought him much enjoyment. A memorial service will be 1pm Saturday October 22 at Hoven Funeral Chapel, Ellendale ND with Pastor Paul Preus officiating. Visitation is 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Graveside service will follow with family and friends gathering at the American Legion in Ellendale after the burial. Jerome's service will be live streamed here on his obituary page.
