Doris "Maudie" D. Seefried

Doris D. “Maudie” Seefried 78, of Ellendale, ND died June 17, 2022 at Benedictine Living Community, Ellendale. She was born November 24, 1943 George and Emma (Fischer) Eisenbeis in Wishek, ND. Maudie was raised and educated in the Wishek area. She was employed at Tiffany Dry Cleaning in Aberdeen for a short time. On July 2, 1961 Maudie married Gordon Seefried in Wishek, ND. They made their home in Ellendale where their three children were born and raised and Gordon worked for John Deere. Maudie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Ellendale. She was known for her good cooking, enjoyed trying new foods and restaurants, spending time with family, polkas, going to the casino, crocheting and her pets. She also enjoyed cruises and traveling to the Caribbean, the rainforest, Argentina, Costa Rica, and Europe. Survivors include her three children: Robert Seefried, Irving, TX, Kim (Mike) Burrer, Pierre, SD, Scott Seefried, Fargo, ND; grandchildren: Colin and Jami Burrer; great-grandchildren: Travis and Bryson Archambeau; sister: Violet Ulmer, Federal Way, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gordon, brothers Ray and Delmar and her step-mother Maggie. The funeral service is 2pm Monday, June 27 at Zion Lutheran Church, Ellendale with Pastor Paul Preus officiating. Visitation will be 2pm Sunday, June 26 with a prayer service at 5pm all at Hoven Funeral Chapel. Visitation continues one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
