Daniel Brandenburger

Daniel A. Brandenburger 72, of Ellendale, ND died July 15, 2024 at Sanford Health, Aberdeen, SD. He was born June 20, 1952 in Aberdeen to Harold H. and P. Arlene (Kosel) Brandenburger. He was raised in the Monango, ND area where he also graduated from high school in 1970. After graduation, he joined the North Dakota Army National Guards. He worked in Colorado for a time where he also enjoyed Skiing. He returned to North Dakota where he farmed near Monango. In 1994 Daniel began custom farming in the San Joaquin Valley in California until 2003 when they purchased the Elm Lake Resort, near Forbes, ND. In 2008 Daniel sold the resort and moved into Forbes where he resided until 2022 when he moved to Evergreen Place in Ellendale. Daniel enjoyed fishing, camping in Sequoia National Park and near the ocean. He also enjoyed traveling across the US on his motorcycle and loved his dog Bear. Daniel was good at fixing most anything that came his way.  Daniel is survived by his daughter: Rochelle Gosvener and her children Jase, Logan, Lillyauna and Ella; Sister Arlee (Ron), Franz; Brother: Max (special friend Laura) Brandenburger and Tom (Rhonda) Brandenburger. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Tyler Brandenburger; his wife: Jean Brandenburger.

A memorial service will be 2pm Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Hoven Funeral Chapel, Ellendale, ND with Pastor Glenn Raynor officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Daniel’s service will be live streamed here on his obituary page. Burial will be in California at a later date. Arrangements by Hoven Funeral Chapel.
