Florence A. Ulmer, 91 of Ellendale, ND formerly of Fullerton, ND died August 5, 2016 at Prince of Peace Care Center, Ellendale. Florence was born November 24, 1924 to Frank and Mary (Eberhard) Kunz in Stirum, ND. She graduated from Fullerton High School in 1943. On June 15, 1944 Florence married Max Ulmer and they were blessed with four children. They lived on the family farm until moving to Fullerton in 2001. She moved to Ellendale in 2007. She was a faithful member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and very active in the Fullerton community. Among her interests were playing cards, bowling, dancing, sewing, crossword puzzles and gardening. She will always be remembered for her good cooking and great sense of humor. Spending time with her family was an important part of her life. Grateful to have shared in her life are two sons: Gerald (Christie) Ulmer, Tualatin, OR, Thomas (Sandy) Ulmer, Ellendale, ND; two daughters: Peggy (Mark) Seaver, Fargo, ND, Mary (Bruce) Baer, Belfield, ND; eight grandsons: Scott (Kate) Ulmer, Jason (Andrea) Ulmer, Jeremy (Tosha) Ulmer, Joe (Tara) Ulmer, Jeffrey (Jess) Ulmer, Dylan Seaver, Eric (Chelsey) Baer and Adam Baer; three granddaughters: Jacqueline (William) Hizzey, Carleen (Ben) Bray and Jessica (Andrew) Deichert; 14 great-grandchildren: Max, Sydney, Alexandra, MaKayla, Ella, Tory, Christian, Ryder, Riley, Reese, Dagny, Patrick, Aiden and Kembri. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and three sisters. Mass of Christian burial is 10:30am Wednesday, August 10 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Fullerton with Father Jason Asselin officiating. Visitation: 3-8pm Tuesday with a prayer service at 7pm all at Hoven Funeral Chapel, Ellendale. Visitation continues one hour prior to church services Wednesday. Burial: St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fullerton. Arrangements by Hoven Funeral Chapel, Ellendale.
