Harold Krause

Harold L. Krause, 80, of Ellendale, ND died December 5, 2011 at Prince of Peace Care Center, Ellendale. Memorial services will be at 2pm Monday, December 19 at Hoven Funeral Chapel, Ellendale with Pastor Tim Brown officiating. Visitation is 1pm to time of service. Burial is in the spring at the Ellendale City Cemetery. Arrangements by Hoven Funeral Chapel. Harold L. Krause 80, of Ellendale, ND was born July 6, 1931 in Kentner Township, Dickey County, ND. He was the son of Robert and Gladys (Jones) Krause. Harold was educated at Kentner Township #2 Country School. After his education he farmed with his father. In 1963 he took over the family farm after his father death. Harold farmed until 2010 when his health failed. Harold died December 5, 2011 at Prince of Peace Care Center, Ellendale. Harold enjoyed guns, hunting, reading and horses. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. Survivors include one brother: Howard Krause; two sisters: Millie Krause, Mayme (Arthur) Linder all of Ellendale, ND; one niece: Cindy (David) Bachelor of Valentine, NE; four grand-nephews: James, Matthew, Kyle and Joshua Bachelor all of Valentine, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents, one niece: Linda Schwan; one grand-nephew: Michael Bachelor.
