Kurt A. Olson, 43 of Forbes, ND died Tuesday, September 6, 2011, on the family farm near Forbes, ND. The funeral service is 10am Monday, September 12 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Forbes, with Pastor Alan Eppen officiating. Visitation is 2-6:30pm with a prayer service at 5:30pm Sunday at Hoven Funeral Chapel, Ellendale. Burial will be at Aurdal Lutheran Cemetery, rural Forbes, ND. Arrangements by Hoven Funeral Chapel, Ellendale, ND. Kurt A. Olson, 43, rural Forbes, left us suddenly on September 6, 2011. He was born in Ellendale, ND to Gary and Celia (Klipfel) Olson on April 5, 1968. He graduated from Forbes High School and went on to receive his associate’s degree from the North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND. After working in Yankton, SD for two years, Kurt returned home in 1990 to the farm. There he farmed together with his father, mother, and brother. Kurt enjoyed the challenges that farming presented, whether it came from dairy cows or striving for the “perfect” crop with his brother, Paul. Life was a journey for him that was meant to be tested to the limits. Kurt married the love of his life, NaTanya Jaquish, on May 25, 2002 in Black Hawk near Sauk City, WI. They were blessed with three beautiful children who will always be “daddy’s little Princesses and handsome Prince.” Kurt was involved in numerous ways throughout the community. He served in various rolls as a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Forbes. He was active in the Elm Township as town clerk for many years. To extend his service to the local agricultural community, Kurt was also secretary of the Forbes Equity Exchange board and part of the Agriculture Improvement committee. Kurt is survived by his wife, NaTanya (Jaquish) Olson, daughters Teagan (6) and Mariska Olson (3), son Evan Olson (5), parents Gary and Celia (Klipfel) Olson, Forbes, sister Theresa (Brent) Petersen, Washburn, ND, brother Paul (Deanne) Olson, Forbes, Aunts and Uncles; Karen (Ted) Wolff, Lary (Rosella) Olson, Milton Olson, Duane (Deanna) Klipfel, Jerry (Gail) Klipfel, Tom (Deb) Klipfel, Mike (Nancy) Klipfel, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
